You are an Overcomer!

How do you take authority over the obstacles and many of the difficult situations that come your way? Throughout my relationship with God I have learned to apply the word of God in every situation. Therefore, I admonish you to take God at his word and apply his word to your daily life. Psalms 34:19 states, "A righteous man may have many troubles, but the Lord delivers him from them all." You can expect trouble to come in your life, but what matters the most is how you handle the trouble that comes your way. You may ask the question -- How can I overcome sickness, stress, loneliness, disappointment, depression, pass failures and etc? As a believer you must apply the Word of God to every situation that prevails. Speak the language of God by finding scriptures that pertain to each challenge that exist in your life. Let God’s Word Work for You! You must understand that God honors his word. In all you go through remember you must proclaim the victory and refuse to be defeated by the enemy.

When situations come you must speak the word of God and announce that you have the victory. Proverb 18: 20 – 21 states, "A man’s belly shall be satisfied with the fruit of his mouth; and with the increase of his lips shall he be filled. The tongue has the power of life and death, and those who love it will eat its fruit." The word of God tells us that we can have words of death or life proceeds out of your mouth. You have the choice to turn on the life cycle or the death cycle for your life. Today, I encourage you to turn on the life cycle by speaking the Word of God into every area of your life. It is important to remember that you have what you speak. The life cycle is simply declaring love, peace, joy, prosperity, meekness, health, promotion, and etc. You must refuse to operate in the death cycle by thinking negative thoughts and making negative statements. You must get the following statements out of your vocabulary: "I can’t," "I’m broke," "Everything is going wrong," "If it’s not one thing – it’s another," or "Nothing seems to be working out for me." You must stop speaking death into your situations and start speaking the Word of God. Your negative words interrupt God’s power from operating in your life. Before you can get the manifestations or promises of God you must totally trust in God and apply biblically principles (scriptures) to your individual situations.

It is important to understand your battles (struggles) are not against flesh and blood, but against Satan’s powers to keep you living in defeat. Ephesians 6:12 tells us that "For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms." Therefore, you should not spend your effort fighting people and things that the enemy brings you way, but proclaim that God has all power to conqueror that which comes to hindered you from walking in the perfect will of God for your life.

Prayer is an essential tool in taking authority over every situation that come to set you off track. Realize and acknowledge that God has empowered you with the Holy Spirit to help you live a victorious life. Romans 8: 26 -27 (NLV) states, "in the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groans that words cannot express. And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints in accordance with God's will." You must allow the Holy Spirit to be your divine (heavenly) helper, because the Lord reminds us of his Word. John 16:13 states, "he sent upon us his holy spirit to lead and guide us in the way we are to go." Therefore, I encourage you to move aside and surrender to the guidance of the Holy Spirit on a daily basis.

In pursue of taking authority over every situation that comes to deter you from living a victorious life. God compels you to apply your FAITH in Him and not in the situations that are at hand in your everyday life. He encourages you to believe that he is larger than the circumstances as you will find in Hebrews 11:6, "but without faith it is impossible to please him; for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him." God expects you to TRUST HIM to handle the least to the greatest situation in your life. Let us look at Proverbs 3: 5-6, "Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." Let go and let God give you the instructions on how to take authority over the obstacles and many of the difficult situations that come your way. As a believer it is time for you to live a victorious life by allowing the Word of God to work for you, so start today speaking the language of God and watch him work in your life.
