Darrius is the son of Bernice and Darrell McQueen and the brother to junior Olympian Darrielle McQueen. Darrius McQueen is an upcoming senior at North Florida Christian School affectionately known by his peers as Duece Duece 22 on the football and baseball field as well as the basketball court. Darrius has excelled spiritually and academically, as well as athletically. Darrius is a member of St. Peter Primitive Baptist Church where Doc Ward, Jr. is the Pastor. He is the Vice-President of the Youth Department, a member of the youth usher board, a member of choir #3, a member of the church school and a member of the celestial choir.

 

Darrius is a member of the National Honor Society and graduated Youth Leadership Tallahassee. Darrius has played sports since the age of seven with the City of Tallahassee Parks and Recreation as well as at North Florida Christian School. Darrius plays football, basketball and baseball. During his junior year, Darrius was named 1st team All-State for football, 1st Team All-Bigbend, played for the State Championship in Miami, Florida; Offensive Player of the week with FSU Quarterback Club; lead the big bend in receiving and touchdowns for the regular season with 71 catches, 1250 yards receiving and 15 touchdowns. In addition, he was named amongst the top ten in steals for basketball and played and won a state championship in baseball in Sarasota, Florida.
